Photo criteria
- The photos may be in full colour or in black/white and taken with a film or digital camera (The photos may be edited by the participant. This includes colour or composition adjustments, montage, collage, re-touching, re-sharpening and correction of the tonal value is also permitted.)
- Photos must be submitted digitally, uploaded via the online entry form in two formats:
- A preview of the photos (255x369 pixel / 9x13cm) uploaded on the online entry form in all common photo formats.
- The high resolution master copies (at least 5 mega pixels / 2480x3508 pixel or up to 7016x9933 pixel / 59.4x84.1cm in 300dpi – please do not extrapolate!) uploaded on the online entry form in all common photo formats.
- Contributions must have a title and can include a short explanation consisting of a maximum of 150 characters.
- No copyrighted material may be used in the entries.
- No original photo material may be used without the written consent of the parties depicted.
- If your original photo is in raw file format, please keep your original files until the end of the competition in case you win!
The European Commission reserves the right to use submitted photos for the “European Destinations of Excellence” (EDEN) information campaign and to reproduce all entries for promotional purposes.
