Entry rules

1. The competition is open to all professional and amateur photographers who are residents of one of the EU Member States, the candidate countries or the EFTA/EEA countries, regardless of their sex, age or nationality (with the exception of civil servants of the European Institutions – including agencies – and their families).
2. Each participant may submit a maximum of three coherent images related to the main theme of “sustainable and responsible tourism”.
3. Pictures will be judged according to the relevance of the motif to the given topic and the originality of expression and aesthetic appeal.
4. All participants must register for the competition by completing the official entry form.
5. All participants must certify on the entry form that the material is their own and copyrights have not been infringed.
6. Participants must prove that all individuals depicted in the submitted photos have agreed to be used for this purpose. Accordingly, a waiver for this purpose will be available for download.
7. All participants must agree to the subsequent use of their photo material by the European Commission in the context of this competition.
8. The deadline for entry is 18 September 2009.
